So excited that Gregory has been chosen as South Dakota's Community of the Year 2015! Congrats to everyone in the city that has worked hard, taken a leap of faith, and helped us grow!
Nope. Not the Easter Bunny coming to town. As part of our National Library Week activities, half of the 3rd grade students walked over to visit us today while the other half was testing. 16 children hopping up and down asking questions, filling out free drawing entries for a new book, looking at prize winning poems and posters, and learning how to find a book in the OPAC computer.
The best question? How do I get a library card!
Thanks, Mrs. Jake, for sharing the library with your students. I am looking forward to visiting with the rest of them on Thursday.
Other exciting National Library Week activities continue. Potluck book club discussion tonight at 7pm. 2nd grade students coming tomorrow to read their poems to the community over the noon hour. Ongoing used book sale. The creations of our local students in Preschool through 4th grade decorating our meeting room walls. And, of course, conversations about books, the community and life in general take place here daily.
